Lesson
H3 Run a Cross-Functional Plan Review
Discuss the Same Evidence
Planners focus on delivery, data specialists on sources, operators on execution changes and partners on configuration. A review should use the same inputs, configuration and results rather than screenshots from different versions.
This lesson suits an enterprise learning group or partner workshop. Use published stamping or injection records, or local run records approved for sharing.
Prepare a Shared Review Record
| Item | Include |
|---|---|
| Scenario brief | Decision, objects, period and commitments |
| Input summary | Version, units, key relationships and checks |
| Configuration diff | Changes between baseline and adjusted run |
| Run record | Status, parameters, actions and result source |
| Comparison | Business measures, objective measures and details |
| Questions | Unexplained changes and measures awaiting approval |
Share information needed for discussion within the agreed data scope. Screenshots aid navigation; tables and records support numerical checks.
Ask Questions by Role
The planner explains objectives and fixed commitments. The data specialist explains definitions, update times and uncertain values. Operators assess whether changed tasks and preparation are practical. The technical partner explains actual calls and rules, separating configuration, candidates and executed results.
Each participant should identify a fact that could change the conclusion: a different maintenance window, a canceled order or unmarked frozen work. These observations support improvement more than repeatedly saying the result looks good.
Run a Short Review
- Restate the problem and comparison conditions.
- Confirm inputs and units.
- Explain actions, status and configuration differences.
- Inspect totals and one important object's details.
- Discuss what to adopt, costs, open issues and owners.
- Define which conditions the next comparison will change.
Record facts, interpretations, recommendations and decisions separately. A recommendation becomes an implemented measure only after confirmation and execution.
Exercise and Suggested Answer
Using the injection record, explain why 14.9 and 66.4 cannot directly yield an improvement percentage. Ask another learner why container capacity is not machine capacity. Both answers should refer to definitions and configuration rather than terminology alone.
Finish with three outputs: a confirmed conclusion, an additional check and a follow-up task with an owner. When participants can explain data, trade-offs and execution conditions in their own words, they have moved from viewing features to using them together.
Preserve the Learning
Add confirmed definitions, checks and cases to shared learning material. Reuse the structure for similar problems and update it when facts change. Continued use, explanation and correction turn individual exercises into organizational decision capability.
