Worksheet
Worksheet: Operational Rule and Verification
Rule Definition
| Item | Record |
|---|---|
| Original statement | How the operational request was expressed |
| Confirmed meaning | Fact, hard condition, soft condition or preference |
| Object and period | Business identity and validity |
| Unit and limits | Quantity, time, ratio or variable meaning |
| Source and owner | Evidence and approving role |
| Input location | Data, objective, rule interface or application measure |
| Application point | Action or model that applies it |
| Conflict handling | Who decides when conditions conflict |
| Expiry | Renew, remove or review |
Four Checks
- Can the definition be restated as a precise condition?
- Was the input parsed into the correct report?
- Did the capability read the rule and add it to the model or follow-up processing?
- Do configuration and execution records show that the rule was applied, and do the affected results meet it?
Check valid input, invalid objects, expired rules and conflicts. Record proposals as awaiting confirmation, adopted or executed. Track model-rule application separately from execution of a business measure.
